💬 Tell us about your business.
I specialize in themed children’s parties (although we cater for adults as well), and I’m based in Surrey, UK.
⏳ How long have you been doing this, and how has it evolved over time?
I’ve been doing this just over 2 years, and it evolved from my teepee sleepover business! I realized my passion for styling and themes really came alive when balloons and backdrops got involved. I started with 2 sailboards and now I’ve got a garage full — as well as a room full of balloons! 😂
🌟 What’s one project or event you’re especially proud of and why?
I’m really proud of a large corporate setup I created last summer. It was my biggest one to date — and since I still work alone, it was a major achievement!
🎉 What types of events or clients do you love working with most?
I love working with clients who come with a theme and trust me to create the vision! Children’s birthday parties are the best — especially when the client is on my wavelength of creating an experience. That’s when I can just dive in and get creative.
🎨 Where do you get your creative inspiration from?
Everywhere! When I’m out on a dog walk, ideas will pop into my head. When I’m driving. From Pinterest and Instagram. Then when my mind is quiet, it all starts to pull together and flow.
You’ve mentioned you’re passionate about party theming. What can you tell us about that?
There's no such thing as too much when it comes to party theming!
Here's some top tips to planning a themed party;
1. Choose your theme! This could be a favourite TV show, a character, a sport, an era or even just a colour scheme
2. Create a mood board to get your ideas flowing and all in one place. Gather inspo together from places like Pinterest, Instagram, etc.
3. Choose up to three coordinating colours and an accent colour. Use these throughout the party so balloons, decor, tableware etc.
4. Add props! It's the little details that make all the difference. Eg. little clay pots and colourful watering cans for a Peter Rabbit theme or baby booties filled with delicate flowers for a baby shower
5. Get interactive - Make it an experience, not just a party! Have a cupcake or cookie decorating area, personalise hats or bags or have a themed craft table. Added bonus if guests can take home what they make as a party favour!
💡 What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting out?
Don’t get distracted by the noise of others on social media. Stay in your lane, stay focused, and do your thing!
❤️ What do clients often say they love about working with you?
It’s like I can see inside their mind. 😂
☕ What’s your go-to coffee or tea order on install days?
Latte, please!
🎵 If your brand were a song, what would it be and why?
Good as Hell – Lizzo. It’s a feel-good song that gives you confidence and lifts you up. It makes a statement — and that’s exactly how I want people to feel when they work with me.
